For many viewers, RJ Mitte will always be Walter White Jr., the young man caught inside his family’s unraveling world in Breaking Bad. Mitte, who has cerebral palsy himself, brought an important dimension of lived experience to the role. His character had opinions, frustrations, loyalties, and relationships that extended beyond disability. That mattered: audiences encountered a teenager whose condition was part of his life, not the entirety of his identity.
